Role: Product Associate / Junior Product Manager
Company: Raycon
Company X Factor
Profitable consumer electronics company with 5M+ customers. Known for consumer audio products and expanding into new AI-enabled audio/product categories.
Role Overview
Raycon is looking for a young, hungry, hands-on Product Associate / Junior Product Manager to join its product team in New York City. This is an opportunity for an early-career product professional to take meaningful ownership of physical consumer products and grow within a fast-moving consumer electronics business.
The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of product experience, although exceptional new graduates with highly relevant experience may also be considered. The most important requirement is that they have worked with physical products containing electronic components and have experience helping bring a product from development through to launch.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and launch of consumer hardware and electronics products.
Take hands-on ownership of product initiatives and help move products from concept through development and launch.
Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, manufacturing and other teams to bring products to market.
Help evaluate product opportunities, customer needs and market trends to inform product decisions.
Coordinate product development activities and help ensure projects stay on track through development and launch.
Work closely with internal and external partners involved in developing and manufacturing physical products.
Help troubleshoot product challenges and contribute to decisions around product features, quality and customer experience.
Use customer and product insights to help improve existing products and inform future product development.
Operate in a fast-paced, lean environment where you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and take ownership rather than simply coordinate from the sidelines.
Ideal Candidate
The strongest candidates will come from consumer electronics, audio, hardware, wearables, connected devices or other physical consumer-product companies and will be able to point to something they have actually helped ship to customers.
Must-Have Skills
Physical product experience — closer to their domain the better
