Long term contract
Lead quality engineering for the Wholesale platform, covering Spring Boot microservices, the Angular-based Wholesale Web portal, API Gateway integrations and end-to-end partner journeys. You will build automation-first quality practices across Product Catalog, subscription management, billing and network provisioning.
Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for Spring Boot microservices and Angular applications, selecting tools in consultation with T-Mobile.
Automate REST API tests for Spring Boot services and APIs exposed through the API Gateway, covering contracts, payloads, error handling, authentication and data validation.
Automate cross-browser and cross-device UI testing for the Angular-based Wholesale Web portal using maintainable page-object or similar patterns.
Build end-to-end automated flows across Product Catalog, partner onboarding, subscription management, billing, API Gateway and network provisioning.
Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines so tests run on every build and provide fast, actionable feedback to developers.
Execute component-level and end-to-end QAT, including back-office validation of revenue management, usage, billing and reporting.
Support Partner Integration Testing in staging so partners can validate their integrations end to end, and support Finance Control testing for customer billing management.
Create and manage test data, including synthetic data for bulk and high-volume transaction scenarios.
Coordinate test environments and maintain stubs or mocks for downstream dependencies such as NetCracker and TIBCO services.
Log, triage and track defects through closure with developers and partners.
Produce test strategies, plans, high-level scenarios, test cases, execution results, exit reports and SLA/KPI reports.
Support a monthly delivery volume of approximately 30 initiatives, 5,000 test cases, 2 new partner onboardings and 150 defects.
Generate and automate Wholesale quality engineering reports, and recommend process and tooling improvements.
Required qualifications
Strong Java development skills (Java 11+), object-oriented programming and design patterns, with working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
Working knowledge of Spring Boot microservices, REST controllers, JSON payloads, configuration and logs sufficient for service- and component-level testing.
Understanding of Angular components, routing, forms and asynchronous behavior sufficient to build stable UI automation.
Hands-on API automation with REST Assured or Karate, Postman for exploration, and JSON schema and contract validation.
Hands-on UI automation with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright or Cypress, using page-object or similar patterns.
TestNG or JUnit, BDD with Cucumber/Gherkin, and Maven or Gradle.
Git, Jenkins or GitHub Actions/GitLab CI, Jira, and a test management tool such as qTest, Zephyr or ALM.
SQL skills for validating billing, usage and subscription data in Oracle or PostgreSQL, plus basic Linux and log analysis.
Strong grounding in Agile/Scrum, test design techniques, defect lifecycle and automation-first quality engineering across the delivery lifecycle.
Clear communication with T-Mobile stakeholders and partners, with flexibility, adaptability to change and a strong customer focus.
